Production Coordinator

We are seeking a skilled Production Coordinator to join our team at Cummins. In this role, you will be responsible for operating machines and production equipment independently, ensuring quality and productivity requirements are met safely in a manufacturing environment. You will also instruct or coach others as needed.
Key Responsibilities
- Operate machines and production equipment independently, adhering to quality and productivity requirements.
- Report any work-related injuries, illnesses, incidents, or hazards.
- Follow all applicable standard work, process documentation, and quality procedures.
- Maintain a clean and orderly work area, including routine housekeeping tasks and machine cleaning tasks.
- Work with peers, skilled trades, and support staff to maintain and identify equipment needing repair.
Requirements
- Communicate effectively, developing and delivering multi-mode communications that convey a clear understanding of the unique needs of different audiences.
- Health and Safety Fundamentals - Champions and models proactive health and safety behaviors, identifying, reporting, and participating in actions to improve health and safety.
- Manufacturing Knowledge - Demonstrates knowledge of manufacturing by correctly implementing changes in current processes, equipment, and applications.
- Decision quality - Makes good and timely decisions that keep the organization moving forward.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent experience.
- Forklift experience.
- LEAN Manufacturing knowledge and experience.
- Manufacturing experience.
- Familiarity with quality and time.
- Knowledge of material flow.
- Great communication skills.
- Must be a quick learner and able to collaborate with others.
- Familiarity with quality and time.
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office suite.
