Role Overview
As a Retail Merchandising Specialist, your primary focus will be on enhancing product visibility and boosting sales within retail environments. Your responsibilities will encompass conducting regular store assessments, collaborating effectively with store management, leveraging technology for data gathering, and upholding product display standards. You will engage in retail merchandising tasks, execute special projects, and foster strong partnerships with store managers to drive sales for our clients. Key Responsibilities: Manage a designated territory of retailers, ensuring merchandising objectives are achieved through consistent store visits. Assist store managers with retail initiatives, including new product launches and promotional contests. Utilize technology, including a company-provided tablet, to gather and report data from store visits. Ensure complete distribution and presentation of products in assigned accounts, including cleaning, stocking, rotating, and pricing merchandise. Conduct audits to verify data codes, ensuring compliance with approved plan-o-grams, and communicate findings to the Unit Manager. Collaborate with management to meet objectives and goals, reporting store-level insights related to client products and customer needs. Advocate for clients by identifying sales opportunities, managing shelf work, and building relationships with store managers. Meet merchandising coverage targets by executing the retail territory coverage strategy. Success Factors: Adhere to store policies and procedures while representing the clients you serve as an expert. Exhibit attention to detail, ensuring accuracy in tasks such as product displays and audits. Prioritize customer service, cultivating positive relationships with store managers and customers. Communicate effectively with team members, management, and clients, ensuring clarity and precision in communication. Be proficient in using technology, such as a tablet, for data collection and reporting. Work independently, demonstrating strong communication skills and effective time management. Qualifications: High School Diploma/GED required. Previous retail experience preferred, but not mandatory. Strong demonstration of core competencies including quality commitment, attention to detail, customer service, and communication skills. Ability to lift up to 30 pounds and stand and/or walk for extended periods. Must possess reliable transportation and be able to drive for extended durations.
