Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Cost Analyst to join our team at Leonardo DRS. As a key player in our department, you will lead complex analyses in commodity, purchasing, and proposal costing. Your expertise will be crucial in ensuring accuracy in auditing data and analyzing costs.

Key Responsibilities
  • **Audit and Analyze Cost Data**: Conduct thorough audits of material cost summary reports to ensure accuracy and compliance.
  • **Price and Cost Analysis**: Perform down-selection, price, and cost analysis to determine reasonableness and/or best value.
  • **Material Cost Estimation**: Analyze Purchase Bills of Material, send Suppliers Requests for Quotes (RFQ), evaluate RFQ responses, estimate, and forecast Material Cost.
  • **Proposal Evaluation**: Evaluate the proposal RFP/Q flow downs from the Contracts department and ensure the appropriate flow-downs are identified and passed on to Vendor.
  • **Interdepartmental Collaboration**: Interact with Program Management, Engineering, Procurement, and Contracts to understand all Direct Material requirements and serve as an intermediary between the Suppliers and DRS functional areas to address supplier's questions and concerns.
  • **Cost Forecasting**: Forecast future costs based on analysis of cost data.
  • **Vendor Management**: Evaluate Vendor RFQ responses and negotiate with suppliers to meet target costs.
  • **Proposal Data Management**: Prepare all proposal data in accordance with DRS and FAR applicable requirements.
  • **Supply Chain Management**: Ensure all forecasted costs are based on most likely cost at time of award.
  • **Communication and Representation**: Represent supply chain during customer negotiations, fact-find, audits, and TCPD sweeps.
Qualifications
  • **Education**: Prefer Bachelor's degree in supply chain management, business, engineering, or 3 years equivalent experience.
  • **Experience**: 3 years of demonstrated experience in Aerospace and/or Defense Manufacturing.
  • **Skills**: Outstanding customer interface skills, demonstrated problem-solving skills, and detail-oriented.
  • **Certifications**: Must have a successful track record in managing complex aerospace/defense supply chain activities.
  • **Software Proficiency**: Proficient in Excel (Nested Formulas, Index, Match, Sumifs, Pivot Tables, etc.) and data analysis skills.
