Key Responsibilities:

  • Supervise student activities and behavior during recess and lunch periods, ensuring a safe and inclusive environment for all students.
  • Monitor classrooms when the teacher is briefly absent, providing support and assistance as needed.
  • Assist with classroom tasks, including clerical duties and administrative support.
  • Develop and implement strategies to promote positive student behavior and engagement.
  • Collaborate with teachers and other staff members to ensure a cohesive and supportive learning environment.
  • Provide first aid and CPR certification as required.

Requirements:

  • High School diploma or equivalent required; relevant education, training, and experience preferred.
  • Experience working with elementary school children and understanding of child development and behavior management strategies.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage with students, faculty, and parents.
  • Familiarity with school regulations and practices, or ability to quickly grasp such knowledge.

Working Conditions:

This is a part-time position, working 10 months of the year. The schedule will be determined based on the needs of the school and the successful candidate.
