Job Summary

We are seeking a full-time CSU Mental Health Technician to join our team. The successful candidate will work in a 24-hour unit, providing crisis intervention and stabilization services to individuals in need.

Key Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with mental health professionals to gather collateral data and provide outreach services, including crisis intervention and pre-hospital screening.
  • Work with patients' primary psychiatrists, case managers, and counselors to facilitate care and coordinate services.
  • Provide one-on-one assistance to clients and their families, monitoring behavior and mental status, and documenting services in client charts.
  • Answer the hotline, gather collateral information, and provide referrals to community services.
  • Run the intake board and coordinate outreach runs between emergency services, outreach, CACSU, CSU, and Helpline.
  • Transport clients to and from community sites as needed.
  • Work flexibly with other team members and attend agency and unit meetings.
  • Complete reports, chart and telephone documentation, and ensure accurate billing information.
Requirements
  • Working conditions: This position is in a 24-hour unit, requiring the ability to work scheduled weekends and perform emergency overtime if necessary.
  • Must be eligible to be a qualified mental health specialist by Ohio Medicaid.
  • Bachelor's degree in a related field or at least three years' work experience in mental health.
  • Valid Ohio driver's license and eligibility to drive company vehicles.
