Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented EVS Technician to join our team at Del Sol Medical Center. As an EVS Technician, you will play a critical role in maintaining a clean and safe environment for our patients, visitors, and staff.

Key Responsibilities
  • Clean and maintain assigned areas in a sanitary, orderly, and attractive condition
  • Ensure that cleaning activities are performed in accordance with local codes and legislation, JCAHO guidelines, and facility policies and procedures
  • Set up carts with all necessary supplies and equipment
  • Change curtains and cubicle curtains as assigned
  • Clean stairwells, elevators, and baseboards
  • Clean water fountains
  • Clean restrooms and replenish essentials
  • Clean working equipment
  • Collect and dispose of trash
  • Prepares chemicals and germicidal solutions according to formula and label instructions
  • Moves equipment and furniture for relocation of offices, asking for assistance when needed
  • Operates electric floor/carpet machines and various types of sweepers
Requirements
  • One year of experience in a general housekeeping environment or equivalent
  • Knowledge of methods, materials, and techniques related to effective cleaning, sanitation, and maintaining the aesthetic condition of the assigned facility
  • Ability to work rapidly and efficiently under emergency situations
  • Ability to follow oral and written instructions
  • Ability to learn and perform all essential job functions accurately with minimal direct supervision, within probationary period
