Biology Lecturer Position

The Department of Biology at Valdosta State University is seeking a non-tenure track faculty member to teach courses in biology and participate in service within the department, college, and university levels. The selected candidate will be responsible for teaching introductory biology courses for majors and non-majors, as well as contributing to the department's service obligations.
Responsibilities- Teach up to 15 credits (5 classes) in introductory biology courses for majors and non-majors.
- Participate in service at the department, college, and university level as assigned.
- Master's degree in Biology or a closely related field at time of appointment.
- Demonstrated commitment to excellence in teaching and learning.
- A record of effective teaching appropriate to the applicant's career stage.
- Ability to work effectively in a collaborative setting.
- A record of mentoring students.
Commensurate with experience.
