Biology Lecturer Position

The Department of Biology at Valdosta State University is seeking a non-tenure track faculty member to teach courses in their area of expertise and participate in service within the department, college, and university levels.
Responsibilities- Teach up to 15 credits (5 classes) primarily in introductory biology courses for majors and non-majors
- Participate in service at the department, college, and university level as assigned
- Master's degree in Biology or a closely related field at time of appointment
- Demonstrated commitment to excellence in teaching and learning
- A record of effective teaching appropriate to the applicant's career stage
- Ability to work effectively in a collaborative setting
- A record of mentoring students
Applicants are required to provide professional references with current contact information, documentation of academic credentials, and employment history.
Employment is contingent upon successful completion of a background check investigation, including a criminal background check, and reference checks.
