The TDR Business Unit is committed to assisting state and local governments in preparing for, responding to, and recovering from various types of disasters. Our team is recognized for its swift response capabilities, ensuring our clients can resume their essential operations effectively.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the comprehensive development of compliant, competitive, and persuasive proposals through effective collaboration with internal teams, corporate partners, consultants, and vendors.
  • Utilize best practices in proposal management to guarantee timely submission of proposals that adhere to solicitation guidelines.
  • Conduct thorough analyses of RFI, RFQ, RFPs, and other bid documents to identify requirements efficiently, with typical response windows of three weeks.
  • Create and manage the proposal schedule, outline, and Proposal Development Plan.
  • Collaborate with the proposal team and Capture Manager to assign authors and integrate winning strategies, themes, and differentiators into proposals.
  • Provide leadership and guidance to authors regarding all proposal content.
  • Ensure the quality of proposals through rigorous quality assurance checks on draft and final documents.
  • Facilitate Proposal Kickoff meetings and daily status calls, ensuring adherence to the Proposal Development Plan.
  • Manage the creation of oral presentations, discussions, and revisions of proposals.
  • Guarantee the high-quality content and presentation of final proposal deliverables.
  • Coordinate the production, reproduction, binding, and packaging of proposal submissions.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in business or communications, or equivalent professional experience (preferred).
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in marketing or proposal development within a professional services environment.
  • Proficient in standard English writing styles, capable of synthesizing information from various sources into a cohesive and persuasive final product.
  • High proficiency in MS Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Project, Teams) and Adobe Creative Suite.
  • APMP (Association of Proposal Management Professionals) Certification is preferred.
Additional Skills:
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Adaptability to various working styles and tight deadlines.
  • Strong leadership, communication, prioritization, and organizational skills.
  • Excellent editing skills with a solid understanding of grammar and punctuation.
  • Experience in interviewing subject matter experts to enhance the proposal writing process.
  • Familiarity with common proposal tools (e.g., readability analysis, CRM).
