Job Overview

Gogebic Medical Care Facility is seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Medical Records Clerk to join our team. This role involves maintaining accurate and up-to-date medical records, ensuring compliance with facility policies and procedures.

Responsibilities
  • Maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion.
  • Update and verify resident medication administration records (MAR) and treatment administration records (TAR).
  • Prepare and distribute orders for physicians' signature via encrypted email.
  • Schedule lab tests, complete lab slips, and prepare x-ray requests forms.
  • Verify code status and allergies, posting them accurately in residents' charts.
  • Transcribe physician dictation, including progress notes, care plans, and discharge summaries.
Requirements
  • High School diploma or equivalent.
  • Proficiency in computers, including current FMCF Charting Software and Outlook-365 Encryption.
  • Minimum of one year experience in the medical record field or related area.
Salary and Benefits

$45,000 - $55,000 per year, depending on experience. Competitive benefits package, including health insurance, retirement plan, and paid time off.
