Position Overview:
The Procurement Planning and Control Associate plays a crucial role in enhancing the procurement department's efficiency by developing tools, generating reports, and driving process enhancements through comprehensive data analysis.
Key Responsibilities:
- Facilitate procurement strategies related to data governance, business intelligence, workflow optimization, and digital transformation.
- Design and implement innovative, collaborative solutions to enhance operational efficiency and support informed decision-making.
- Assess current business workflows and propose actionable improvements.
- Create detailed documentation that outlines proposed process enhancements.
- Conduct continuous analysis to evaluate and monitor various operational processes.
- Assist in training teams on the implementation of new operational procedures.
- Coordinate research and analysis on diverse datasets, delivering insightful reports that identify critical issues and actionable plans.
- Update and maintain departmental procedures and policies documentation.
- Develop reports and analytical tools for senior management utilizing various software applications.
- Provide analytical support to departmental and senior management teams.
- Stay informed on market trends regarding process management, automation, business intelligence, and data structure design.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including engineering, construction, and asset management.
- Utilize statistical methods and dashboards to enhance procurement performance.
- Write ad-hoc queries using SQL and Python for data analysis.
- Develop software tools to evaluate departmental performance using Power BI, SQL, and Python.
- Conduct forward-looking analyses on performance milestones as needed.
- Perform additional related duties and special projects as required.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree in a technical discipline; Master's degree preferred.
- 3-5 years of relevant professional experience in sectors such as renewables, construction, or oil and gas.
- Preferred experience in a related field, with a background in business consulting or technical project management being advantageous.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.
- Strong knowledge of SQL, Python, VBA, SSRS, and Power BI.
- Experience with Microsoft Azure big data analytics and cloud computing is highly desirable.
- Demonstrated competencies in Analytical Problem Solving, Communication, Customer Relationships, and Technology Expertise.
