Position Summary

The Chemical Analysis Specialist at Select Energy Services will perform routine chemical evaluations to support our commitment to delivering superior products to our clientele. The individual in this role will be expected to generate precise and reproducible results while working independently to fulfill daily operational needs.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct evaluations on raw materials and finished goods in accordance with established Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
  • Utilize specialized laboratory instruments, including but not limited to: Viscometer, UV/Vis Spectrophotometer, PPA, Auto-Titrator, Flow Loop, etc.
  • Execute analyses promptly and accurately.
  • Ensure a tidy and organized workspace.
  • Calibrate and maintain records for testing apparatus.
  • Be available to work some weekends, with a rotating schedule among team members.
  • Occasional travel may be necessary, though it will not be a regular aspect of the role.

Qualifications
  • High School Diploma.
  • A minimum of 8 hours of college-level chemistry and/or 1 year of relevant laboratory experience is required.
  • 2 years of laboratory experience is preferred but not mandatory.
  • A Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, or a related field is preferred but not essential.
  • Proficient computer skills, particularly in Microsoft Office with an emphasis on Excel.
  • Ability to interact professionally and effectively with colleagues.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Consistent punctuality and a professional demeanor are essential.
  • Prior experience in a laboratory setting within the oil and gas sector is preferred but not required.
