An eye care professional plays a vital role in providing excellent patient care to individuals during their visit to the ophthalmologist. The Ophthalmic Technician/Medical Assistant is a valuable asset to the team, assisting in preparing patients for exams and performing initial testing using specialized equipment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide exceptional customer service to patients and their families
  • Assist ophthalmologists with patient care and exams
  • Perform various duties, including data entry and equipment maintenance
  • Verify patient information and medical history
  • Record patient data in electronic medical records

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • One year of related experience or training preferred
  • COA or COT certification a plus

Physical Demands:
