Position Overview

Notice: This announcement is part of the application process for permanent alien labor certification for the relevant employment opportunity.

Role: The position of Physician (RICU Partial Nocturnist Hospitalist) is a full-time role at Brown Medicine. The physician will be responsible for providing comprehensive inpatient care to individuals admitted to the Intensive Care Units.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct initial patient evaluations and admissions.
  • Develop and execute treatment strategies.
  • Schedule and assess clinical and diagnostic examinations.
  • Communicate updates to primary care providers and family members.
  • Perform multiple rounds as required based on patient acuity.
  • Facilitate and coordinate specialty consultations.
  • Manage patient transfers to and from the ICU and other units.
  • Oversee discharge planning and related administrative tasks.

Work Schedule: The position requires fifteen (15) shifts per month, averaging twelve (12) hours each.

Qualifications:

Candidates must possess a U.S. medical degree or its foreign equivalent, Board Eligibility in Internal Medicine, and be eligible for a medical license in Rhode Island.

Compensation: The annual salary for this role is $245,000.
