Job SummaryThis position is part of the U.S. Marine Corps team, responsible for ensuring the exterior surfaces of buildings and structures are properly prepared and painted. The ideal candidate will have experience with surface preparation, including sanding, filling holes and cracks, and cleaning. Additionally, they will be skilled in assembling and erecting scaffolding and staging, as well as applying coatings and cleaning tools and work areas. The selected individual will work independently with minimal supervision, demonstrating a high level of skill and attention to detail.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare surfaces for painting by sanding, filling holes and cracks, and cleaning.
- Assemble and erect scaffolding and staging.
- Apply coatings to building exteriors and interiors, streets, and curbs.
- Clean and maintain brushes and tools used in painting.
- Ensure working areas are clean and free of debris.
Requirements
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Experience with surface preparation, coating application, and tool maintenance.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions.
- Ability to work at heights and in varying weather conditions.
