Job Summary

Geotemps, Inc. is seeking a skilled Underground Wash Bay Attendant to join our team. As a key member of our operations, you will be responsible for washing and preparing heavy equipment for maintenance and repair. If you have a strong mechanical aptitude and are able to work independently in a fast-paced environment, we encourage you to apply.

Key Responsibilities
  • Wash and prepare heavy equipment for maintenance and repair
  • Assist mechanics with housekeeping and minor mechanical duties
  • Work independently and proactively with minimal supervision
  • Operate in extreme weather conditions, including hot and cold climates, wet and unstable grounds, and high humidity
Requirements
  • Underground MSHA certification
  • Strong mechanical aptitude
  • Ability to work alone or in a group
  • Strong safety orientation
  • Willingness to work rotating nights and days schedule and overtime as needed
  • Diesel Mechanic experience is a plus
Physical Demands
  • Regularly required to stand, bend, and twist, use hands and fingers, handle or feel, talk or hear, and reach above the shoulder with hands and arms
  • Physically capable of sitting or standing, shoveling, and performing other types of physical work for long periods of time
  • Occasionally required to climb, balance, kneel, crouch, crawl, walk, and sit
  • Must be able to lift and carry repetitively up to 75 -lbs. through a 12 hour shift
  • Regularly performs repetitive work involving use of hands and wrists
  • Frequently required to walk on uneven or slippery surfaces
  • Good eye-to-hand coordination is essential
Work Environment
  • May be exposed to high precarious places
  • Frequently exposed to moving mechanical parts and fumes or airborne particles
  • May be required to climb a ladder
  • Required to wear and use proper safety equipment, including steel-toed boots and respiratory protection, and techniques to ensure safety and safety of others
  • Occasionally exposed to caustic chemicals and vibration
  • Noise level in the work environment is frequently loud
  • May work in extremely hot or extremely cold; wet or dry environmental conditions

$21/hour
