Job Title: Video Systems Engineer

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled Video Systems Engineer to join our team at BAE Systems USA. As a Video Systems Engineer, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining various network communications and video systems.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and implement network communications and video systems
  • Implement network designs and upgrades
  • Create procurement BOMs for video and communication systems
  • Brief designs to various levels of leadership and boards for approval
  • Ensure systems are A&A compliant
  • Provide continuous monitoring of network systems ensuring system stability
  • Troubleshoot and resolve video and network communication system issues
  • Maintain technical expertise in all areas of network and computer hardware and software interconnection and interfacing
  • Evaluate and report on new communications technologies to enhance systems capabilities
  • Provide technical support to customers and other stakeholders
  • Work collaboratively with other engineers to ensure successful completion of projects

Requirements:

  • Minimum of 11 years' relevant experience
  • Bachelor's degree in a related field
  • Experience operating VMWare ESXi hypervisor servers
  • Solid understanding of Session Initiation Protocol (SIP) and H.323 communications protocol
  • Solid understanding of Transport Layer Security (TLS) protocols and certificate
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently with minimal oversight and as part of a team
  • Experience designing, executing, and maintaining manual and automated functional, integration, and regression testing documentation
  • Experience troubleshooting and resolving Tier 3/4 technical issues and documenting findings and implementation
  • Experience with Poly and Cisco VTC infrastructure solutions
  • Experience with Cisco Unified Communications Manager (UCM)
  • Experience with Unified Border Element (UBE)
  • Experience with Cisco Expressways or Tandberg Video Communications Server (VCS)
  • Experience with Cisco Meeting Server (MS) or Acano Media Gateway
  • Experience with Cisco Prime Collaboration Provisioning (PCP)
  • Experience with Cisco Unified Computing System (UCS)
  • Experience with Cisco Jabber software client
  • Server and software upgrades
  • Familiarity with system accreditation – A&A
  • Strong troubleshooting skills
  • Strong verbal communication and written documentation skills
  • Ability to speak on technical terms with management at a level that they can understand as well as with other engineers at a higher level to ensure work is being done correctly

  • Windows Pre-Installation Environment (WinPE)
  • Microsoft Desktop Optimization Pack (MDOP)
  • Microsoft Endpoint Configuration Manager (MECM) with O/S deployment
  • Cisco UCS Manager and KVM Manager – blade server configuration and management
  • VMWare vCenter/vSphere and ESXi
  • Trellix ePO

Certifications:

  • Microsoft administration or engineering certs

However, individual salaries are determined by a variety of factors including, but not limited to:

business considerations, local market conditions, and internal equity, as well as candidate qualifications, such as skills, education, and experience.
