Job Summary:
As a vital member of our healthcare team, you will play a key role in supporting patient care within the clinic setting, adhering to the directives of nursing staff and executing a variety of responsibilities aligned with nursing standards.
Your assigned duties will be performed with efficiency, flexibility, and responsiveness to the needs of our patients.Additional tasks may be assigned as necessary.
Position: Urology Clinic
Work Hours: 72 hours over a two-week period
Work Schedule:
Day Shifts (No Weekends)
Primary Responsibilities:
- Prepare patients and examination rooms for medical assessments and procedures
- Collect patient data and maintain updated medical records
- Assist in various medical tests and procedures
- Ensure precise documentation of services rendered
- Administer prescribed treatments and medications
- Monitor patients for any adverse reactions and communicate findings to the Registered Nurse
- Implement basic healthcare instructions for patients and their families
- Conduct EKGs and perform basic laboratory tests
- Draw blood samples through venipuncture
- Engage in Quality Assurance and Improvement initiatives
- Oversee inventory and procure necessary medical supplies
- Completion of an accredited LPN Program
- Valid LPN licensure in Wisconsin
- CPR or BLS certification to be obtained within 90 days of employment
Regular duties require manual dexterity, reaching, verbal communication, and auditory skills. Frequent standing and walking are necessary, with occasional requirements for sitting, stooping, kneeling, crouching, and olfactory tasks.
The role involves lifting up to 25 pounds regularly and up to 50 pounds occasionally. Specific visual capabilities include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, and depth perception.
