Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Registered Behavior Technician to join our team at Elkhart Community School District. As a Registered Behavior Technician, you will play a critical role in supporting students with special needs in a classroom setting.

Key Responsibilities
  • Implement behavior intervention plans to support students with special needs
  • Collaborate with teachers and other professionals to develop and implement individualized education plans
  • Provide one-on-one support to students in a classroom setting
  • Maintain accurate records of student progress and behavior
  • Participate in ongoing training and professional development to enhance skills and knowledge
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Registered Behavior Technician Certification or Behavior Specialist training and certification
  • Experience working with students with special needs
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Preferred Qualifications
  • College transcripts showing a minimum of 48 hours of earned college credits
  • 3+ years of experience in an intense SPED classroom, Medicaid waiver, and clinical experience
Salary and Benefits

$18.95-$22.70 per hour. Applicants with a bachelor's degree are eligible for an additional $1.25 per hour.
