Job Title: Registered Behavior Technician

Job Summary: We are seeking a highly skilled Registered Behavior Technician to join our team at Elkhart Community School District. As a Registered Behavior Technician, you will work closely with our special education team to provide behavioral support to students with intense needs.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide behavioral support to students with intense needs
  • Work closely with the special education team to develop and implement behavioral plans
  • Maintain accurate records of student progress
  • Collaborate with teachers and other staff members to ensure a smooth and effective learning environment

Requirements:

  • A high school diploma or equivalent
  • A valid driver's license in good standing
  • Registered Behavior Technician Certification
  • Or Trained and Certified Behavior Specialist

Preferred Qualifications:

  • College transcripts demonstrating a minimum of 48 hours of earned college credits
  • 3+ years in an intense SPED classroom
  • Medicaid waiver
  • Clinical experience

Special Requirements:

  • Maintain current Crisis Prevention Institute (CPI) training
  • Learn verbal behavior from an online behavior analyst
  • Maintain CPR certification for infants and adults
  • Keep current tuberculosis tests and vaccinations up-to-date

Salary: $18.95-$22.70 per hour. Applicants with a bachelor's degree are eligible to receive an additional $1.25 per hour.
