About the Role

GavinHeath is seeking a highly skilled Staff Revenue Accountant to join our team in a Direct Hire position. As a key member of our financial operations team, you will play a critical role in ensuring the accuracy and timeliness of revenue recognition and financial reporting.

Key Responsibilities
  • Revenue Recognition and Financial Reporting: Execute reviews of sales contracts to ensure revenue recognition aligns with ASC 606 guidance and company policies. Ensure all sales data is accurately transferred from Salesforce CPQ to Sage Intacct for revenue recognition and timely client invoicing.
  • Financial Data Management: Partner with Service Operations to ensure accuracy of time and billing rates in Origami's time tracking system and transfer this data into Intacct for accurate and timely revenue recognition.
  • Financial Analysis and Forecasting: Assist with requests from Sales and Sales Operations Teams related to standard revenue recognition and other related matters. Assist with determining monthly revenue analysts and forecasts.
  • Process Improvement: Participate in process improvement initiatives for the Order to Cash process.
  • Financial Audits and Compliance: Assist in external financial audits, including preparation of PBCs/supporting schedules and providing timely responses to audit questions. Maintain up-to-date knowledge of authoritative accounting guidance on ASC 606 revenue recognition.
Requirements
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance required.
  • Experience: 1-3 years of experience in Accounting at a SaaS company. Experience in a Big 4 public accounting firm is a plus.
  • Skills: Strong knowledge of US GAAP; experience handling complex accounting matters and demonstrating competency in US GAAP, current accounting regulations, and internal controls. In pursuit of or possessing a CPA license is a plus. Experience with Salesforce CPQ and/or Intacct is a plus.
  • Soft Skills: The ability to partner with and influence cross-functional personnel.
