About the Position

We are seeking an experienced Operating Room Technician II to join our team at Sovah Health - Danville in Virginia.

Job Summary

The successful candidate will be responsible for facilitating the safe and efficient performance of surgical procedures, preparing operating suites with necessary equipment and supplies, and assisting with patient care throughout the surgical process.

Responsibilities
  • Preparation of operating suites with drapes, solutions, instruments, equipment, and supplies.
  • Assisting with patient preparation, transportation, positioning, and draping.
  • Passing instruments to surgeons during surgery, ensuring proper inventory management.
  • Receiving and processing specimens for laboratory delivery.
Requirements

To be considered for this role, you must have a graduate degree from a School of Surgical Technology. Critical thinking, decisive judgment, and ability to work independently are essential skills for this position.

American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is required, along with licensure by the Virginia Board of Medicine as a Surgical Technician.
