About the Position

We are seeking a compassionate and culturally competent Behavioral Health Therapist to join our team at The Center for Youth and Family Solutions. As a key member of our clinical staff, you will provide assessments, individual, marital, and family therapy, and education services to a diverse clientele.

Responsibilities
  • Conduct family-centered, inclusive, trauma-responsive, and strengths-based assessments of the behavioral health needs of individual youth and adults, couples, and families.
  • Partner with clients and identify collaterals to develop treatment goals to address their presenting issues and needs.
  • Build on client strengths and provide goal-directed mental health therapy and counseling services to clients.
  • Offer services at times convenient to clients, including some evenings.
  • Coordinate services with and provide consultation to other systems on behalf of clients, such as schools, medical providers, case workers/care coordinators, etc.
  • Document services as required by legal statute, funder requirements, and agency policies.
Requirements
  • Master's degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Counseling, or Psychology, or closely related Human Service field.
  • 2 years of experience in a clinical position (preferred).
  • Completion of DCFS criminal background check and fingerprinting.
  • Must be at least 21 years of age.
  • Obtain an insured vehicle.
  • At least three years of driving experience with a valid driver's license.
