Job Summary and QualificationsThe Surgical Services Technician demonstrates expertise in surgical instruments and the principles of sterile technique.
This role anticipates the requirements of the surgical suite, utilizing critical thinking skills within the scope of the position's competencies.
The Surgical Services Technician adheres to hospital policies and procedures, works under the supervision of the Registered Nurse, and collaborates with the surgical team to enhance customer satisfaction.
This position is supportive and will be engaged as departmental needs arise.
Key Responsibilities:
- Preparing the operating room, draping, passing instruments, and retracting as needed.
Qualifications:
- Basic Cardiac Life Support certification must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date.
- Completion of a Vocational School program.
