This dynamic position involves the independent and efficient assembly of aerospace structural components from various parts and subassemblies. The organization is recognized as a premier designer and manufacturer within the aerospace sector.
Key Responsibilities:
- Execute assembly tasks with a high degree of expertise.
- Carry out daily responsibilities autonomously.
- Install components and equipment in structural assemblies according to detailed blueprints and specifications, utilizing both hand and power tools.
- Secure components and subassemblies using bolts, screws, or rivets.
- Drill holes in structures and subassemblies, attaching necessary brackets and clips for secure installation.
- Identify and mark reference points for the installation of parts using jigs, templates, and measuring tools.
- Conduct inspections and tests on installed components to ensure compliance with standards, employing measuring instruments and testing equipment.
- Position and align subassemblies accurately in jigs or fixtures, following blueprint guidelines.
- Trim and file parts to verify fitting tolerances in preparation for installation.
- Utilize liquid nitrogen or presses for bushing installations as needed.
- Apply sealants or paint according to customer specifications while adhering to safety protocols.
- Operate shop equipment necessary for completing tasks, including C-squeeze, arbor presses, and hand tools.
- Ensure finished workpieces conform to specifications using standard measuring tools.
- Produce components that meet engineering specifications independently.
- Deliver high-quality parts with minimal non-conformances.
Qualifications:
- At least 1 year of prior assembly experience in the aerospace field.
- Basic proficiency in shop mathematics.
- Ability to interpret and follow work instructions accurately.
- Completion of an aptitude assessment during the interview process.
- Exhibit a positive attitude towards work responsibilities.
- Demonstrate reliability with punctual attendance.
- Follow instructions meticulously and maintain strong attention to detail.
- Communicate effectively in both verbal and written forms.
- Possess mechanical aptitude and good manual dexterity.
Salary Range: Competitive hourly rate based on experience.
Schedule: Monday to Friday, 5:00 AM to 1:30 PM.
