Job Summary:

Under the general direction of the Cath Lab Manager and direct supervision of the PCC, the Cath Lab Radiologic Technologist performs patient examinations and related activities. The successful candidate will perform patient exams in accordance with established protocols, assist clinicians during procedures, and circulate in/out of the room to obtain supplies and equipment as needed.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Perform patient exams in accordance with established protocols
  2. Assist clinicians during procedures
  3. Circulate in/out of the room to obtain supplies and equipment as needed
  4. Perform hemodynamic monitoring activities
  5. Maintain patient records as required
  6. Ensure patient clinical history is complete
  7. Complete associated paperwork and accession procedures
  8. Perform QA/QC procedures for imaging equipment and prepare necessary documentation
  9. Archive and complete patient examinations
  10. Start IVs and/or administer contrast media
  11. Remove arterial and venous sheaths
  12. Maintain and adhere to accepted sterile techniques
  13. Provide a clean environment within the examination area
  14. Share emergency call as required
Performance Expectations:

Performance expectations will be covered in the orientation and precepted phases of your orientation to your job.

Requirements:
  • Graduate of an approved AMA school of radiologic technology
  • One or two years of experience in special imaging modalities preferred
  • Certification/Licensure: Licensed with MS Department of Health (MSRT), American Registry of Radiologic Technologists, ARRT R.T. (R) Radiography
  • Basic Life Support certification within 30 days of employment preferred
  • Rhythm Strip Interpretation for Techs certification within 90 days of employment preferred
