Job Overview

As a Financial Analyst at Safran, you will play a critical role in ensuring the accuracy, analysis, and communication of financial data for Safran USA and other hosted companies. With a strong focus on financial modeling, analysis, and communication, this position requires a high level of competitive finance knowledge and an international finance background.

Based in the Headquarters of Safran USA (Irving, Texas), the Financial Analyst will work directly with the Head of Controlling/Director of Finance to manage and improve the controlling for Safran USA and other legal entities managed by the finance department.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Internal Control and Compliance

The Financial Analyst will participate in the annual internal control campaign and maintain and update procedures in compliance with audit requirements. They will also enforce the application of procedures in the companies under their responsibilities.

Financial Analysis and Reporting

The Financial Analyst will assist with the monthly closing tasks of Safran USA and Safran French Group consolidation processes. This includes a complete analysis of financial results, including payroll accounting, various accounts reconciliations, and cash management. They will also participate in the SAP implementation project.

Performance Analysis and Insights

The Financial Analyst will assess and monitor organizational performance against budget, run variance analysis (budget vs. actual), and provide insights to support management decision-making.

Process Improvement and Automation

The Financial Analyst will work on redesigning accounting tasks to make them leaner and save time. They will also conduct continuous improvement actions with strategic planning and analysis to restructure and automate finance department processes.

Requirements
  1. Education

A minimum of 2 years of working experience in accounting and controlling, with a Master's degree in Finance or a related field.

Required Skills/Knowledge

Ability to provide close attention to detail, self-starter/entrepreneurial skills, strong analytical skills in financial modeling, and proficiency in Excel. Excellent teamwork, interpersonal, and presentation skills are also required.

Competencies

Capacity to work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment with multiple concurrent assignments, in an international group. Ability to work and communicate effectively at all organizational levels and across functional areas, and display initiatives and creativity in identifying and solving problems.
