Position: CIM E/E Associate

As a vital member of our CIM team, specifically within the excise tax and renewable energy credits sector (E/E), you will undertake a variety of responsibilities centered around two fundamental principles: your technical and quality proficiency and the delivery of outstanding client service.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support tax planning and research efforts related to excise tax and renewable energy credits across various domains:
    • Federal excise tax (including fuel, heavy vehicles, air transportation, and environmental taxes)
    • Investment tax credit (ITC)
    • Production tax credit (PTC)
    • Carbon capture and sequestration credit
    • Electric vehicle and refueling property credits
    • Renewable fuel credits
  • Assist in managing multiple projects concurrently, which involve client interviews, calculations, analysis, data collection, and resource coordination.
  • Contribute to the drafting of opinion letters and the creation of other technical memoranda.
  • Gain insights into the client's business operations.
  • Facilitate the success of various R&D or federal credits engagements.
  • Enhance your expertise through ongoing education and the pursuit of additional professional certifications.

Basic Qualifications:

  • A minimum of a B.A. or B.S. degree or equivalent from an accredited institution.
  • Willingness to travel to designated client locations, with access to reliable transportation.
  • A preferred minimum GPA of 3.0.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Progressing towards the successful completion of the CPA examination.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication abilities.
  • Strong computer proficiency, particularly in Microsoft Excel.
  • Capability to collaborate effectively within a team.
  • Aptitude for multitasking in a dynamic environment.

Compensation Range: $56,320 - $67,200

Selected candidates will be eligible for a discretionary bonus based on both firm and individual performance.
