Position Overview: This is an ON-CALL position with the potential for a full-time role, requiring 32 hours per week, with flexible shifts from 9:30 AM to 6 PM.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Manage and assist in the organization of food items, whether sourced through orders or donations.
  2. Support food collection efforts as necessary.
  3. Participate in post-meal cleanup and maintain daily, weekly, and monthly cleaning logs.
  4. Conduct kitchen inspections to ensure compliance with health standards, reporting any issues to the Food Services Manager.
  5. Uphold personal hygiene standards and maintain a sanitary kitchen environment.
  6. Prepare meals and supervise the activities of other kitchen staff to ensure adherence to recipes and quality benchmarks.
  7. Serve meals and guide Client workers in food service tasks.
  8. Conduct inventory checks at the end of each day or as directed.
  9. Assist in maintaining accurate records for effective food service management, including inventory logs and cleaning assignments.
  10. Comply with the organization's code of conduct and follow state regulations for food handling.
  11. Perform additional duties as assigned by supervisors or management.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Valid driver's license with a clean driving record acceptable to the organization's insurance provider.
  • Successful completion of a background check.
  • Experience in meal preparation within an institutional environment is preferred.
  • Ability to lift 40 pounds regularly.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Capability to pass a food safety certification course.
