Responsibilities

The Cardiac Ultrasound Specialist will use ultrasound to visualize internal cardiac structures, obtain measurements of cardiac valves, ventricle, and left atrium, and visualize blood flow. The specialist will assist the physician with complex ultrasound procedures and promote the smooth and efficient operation of the Cardiopulmonary Department through the appropriate utilization and management of all clerical functions within the department.

Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Completion of Echocardiogram program within 90 days of hire or equivalent training
  • Current BCLS certificate upon hire and maintain current
  • Able to assist physician with TEE testing
  • Previous experience in performing Echocardiograms of all ages preferred
  • Hospital experience in the Cardiology field preferred
  • Effective July 1, 2017 ARDMS or CCI Required within 90 days of hire
  • Proficient computer skills
