About the Role:

As a Body Shop Estimator at Shottenkirk Automotive, you will play a crucial role in our team's success. Your primary responsibility will be to examine damaged vehicles and efficiently plan the repair process. You will guide our customers through the repair process, coordinate repairs with technicians, insurance companies, and clients, ensuring a seamless experience for all parties involved.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Establish rapport with customers and justify needed repairs and costs
  • Examine damaged vehicles and efficiently plan the repair process
  • Estimate damage to vehicles visually
  • Work and communicate with others on vehicle repair status
  • Calculate labor and painting costs
  • Evaluate the quality of repair jobs by technicians
  • Close out repair orders on completed work
  • Complete parts order sheets for all orders and research alternative sources for hard-to-locate parts
  • Understand insurance company procedures and estimates of repairs while ensuring accuracy

Requirements:

  • Knowledge of the vehicle repair process by the manufacturer
  • Skill in analyzing and interpreting estimate data from insurance companies
  • CDK management is a must
  • CCC1 estimating system knowledge highly preferred
  • I-Car Certified desired
  • Ability to pass a background check
