Job Summary

The Town of South Boston is seeking a highly skilled Human Resources Manager to join our team. This key position is responsible for overseeing all aspects of human resources, including talent acquisition, employment development, performance management, and compliance with policies and regulations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement effective recruitment strategies to attract top talent
  • Manage employee relations, including conflict resolution and employee engagement initiatives
  • Oversee performance management, including goal setting and performance evaluations
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant laws and regulations, including employment laws and benefits administration
  • Process payroll and manage employee benefits
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A Bachelor's degree in Human Resources or a related field
  • At least 7 years of experience in human resources, preferably in a government or public sector setting
  • HR certifications such as PHR, SPHR, or CCP
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
What We Offer

The Town of South Boston offers a competitive salary range of $45,000 - $65,000 depending on experience and education. We also offer a comprehensive benefits package, including health, dental, and life insurance, as well as paid holidays, vacation, and sick leave.
