The Metallic Materials Application Engineer plays a critical role in the development and application of metallic materials and processes across various aviation components within the supply chain.

This position requires collaboration with design, sourcing, and quality teams to ensure robust technical solutions for customers.

The successful candidate will execute analysis, design, test, or integration tasks to define and support assigned components, assemblies, or systems that meet business standards and program/product requirements.

Responsibilities include material selection for new designs, troubleshooting of manufacturing issues, new material/process implementation, review of supplier processes, material test program planning, and other technical tasks.

The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor of Science in Engineering, a minimum of 3 years of experience in material application, failure analysis, or material behavior work, and a willingness to travel as required.

Additionally, experience with aerospace or gas turbine industry manufacturing, quality systems, and field support is highly desirable.

Key skills include in-depth understanding of metallurgy, manufacturing processes, and inspections such as forging, heat treatment, macroetch, and blue etch anodize inspection.

The successful candidate will be able to coordinate multiple projects simultaneously and provide technical and strategic support to the supply chain.
