Job Title: Registered Dental Assistant

ProSmile is a leading dental organization on the East Coast, with a network of affiliated multi-specialty dental practices in New Jersey, Pennsylvania, and Maryland. We are seeking a highly skilled Registered Dental Assistant to join our team.

Job Summary

The Registered Dental Assistant will provide clinical support to our patients and doctors, working under the supervision of dentists and collaborating with dental hygienists. The ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills, be able to work in a fast-paced environment, and possess a strong knowledge of dental instruments and patient care.

Responsibilities
  • Assist dentists in rendering patient care chairside, demonstrating knowledge of dental instruments.
  • Maintain inventory control in the operatories, adhering to OSHA, HIPAA, and CDC guidelines.
  • Deliver world-class patient interactions, including scheduling, follow-up treatment, and record-keeping.
  • Perform basic lab procedures, such as taking impressions, pouring models, and preparing cases for external labs.
  • Remove excess cement from crowns or other restorations and orthodontic appliances.
  • Fabricate and cement temporary crowns and bridges after preparation of teeth by a dentist.
  • Place and remove rubber dam and clamp.
  • Perform miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned.
Qualifications
  • High School diploma or GED required.
  • Easily able to learn new technologies and systems required, with a desire to learn.
  • Applicable licensing required for the state in which you will work, including Dental Radiologic Technologist (DRT) license or willingness to pursue licensure.
  • Certified Dental Assistant certificate preferred.
  • Registered Dental Assistant License preferred.
  • 1+ years work experience as a Dental Assistant preferred.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, with some flexibility in scheduling.
  • X-ray License required.
  • CPR/BLS certification.
