At the State of Kansas, we are seeking highly motivated and detail-oriented individuals to fill multiple HR Development Associate positions.

About the Position:

  • We are looking for college sophomores, juniors, or seniors, or graduate students majoring in human resource management, criminal justice, business administration, or related fields.
  • Candidates must possess excellent written and verbal communication skills, computer proficiency using Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook, and the ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment.
  • The ideal candidate will be a self-starter with a positive attitude, excellent problem-solving skills, and the ability to maintain confidentiality.

About the Job:

  • As an HR Development Associate, you will learn various functions of the Kansas Bureau of Investigation (KBI), assist with recruitment functions, develop efficiencies in processes and procedures, and support the KBI Human Resources Office and Executive Staff as needed.
  • Your direct duties will include personnel file auditing and maintenance, recruitment, local and federal compliance, and gaining experience with human resources information systems (HRIS).

Salary and Benefits:

  • The hourly pay range for this position is $15.09 per hour.
  • This is a part-time temporary position, working 15-20 hours per week, with flexibility within Monday-Friday, 8:00 am – 5:00 pm, as approved by your supervisor.
