About the Role:
Grundfos is on the lookout for a Lead Sales Engineer to become a vital member of our Residential Building Services (RBS) sales team in the United States.
In this position, you will leverage your extensive expertise in residential building services, coupled with a robust technical and commercial understanding of the industry. Your role will involve crafting initiatives and strategies to drive new business and meet sales objectives. You may also hold some level of functional responsibility.
Your primary focus will be on managing accounts within your designated territory, which includes several states in the Midwest.
This role requires travel by land and air, and you can be based in any location within the assigned territory, with a preference for major urban centers, while working remotely.
Your Key Responsibilities:
- Identify and evaluate potential new business opportunities that could benefit from Grundfos products and services.
- Implement sales strategies and plans that align with overall business objectives.
- Assist in budgeting for sales and marketing initiatives.
- Utilize SAP BW data for effective business analysis and forecasting.
- Provide expert guidance to customers, consultants, distributors, and contractors regarding product performance, new offerings, modifications, system solutions, and service options.
- Gather competitive market intelligence and offer strategic recommendations to counteract competitor activities.
- Conduct specialized training sessions on products and applications for customers and team members.
- Mentor and support junior sales staff.
- Document all customer interactions in the global CRM system.
- Manage and nurture sales opportunities in accordance with company protocols.
- Ensure the accuracy of customer data within your portfolio.
Your Qualifications:
We envision that you possess:
- A Bachelor's degree in a technical field, preferably engineering.
- 5-6 years of relevant experience in addition to your formal education.
- Experience managing defined processes within project sales.
- Industry experience in a business environment, ideally within a large manufacturing context.
- Strong knowledge of sales processes and activities in the residential building sector.
- Exceptional influencing skills.
- A solid understanding of relevant systems and local regulations.
- The ability to travel within your assigned territory by car or airplane.
- Willingness to travel internationally (valid passport required).
Relocation assistance is not available for this position, and candidates must have authorization to work in the USA without sponsorship.
