Urology Urodynamics Technician/LPN

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Urology Urodynamics Technician/LPN to join our team at Palo Verde Cancer Specialists. As a key member of our urodynamic lab, you will play a critical role in ensuring the efficient and effective delivery of patient care.
Key Responsibilities- Perform urodynamic tests and enter data into the EMR system, communicating with providers as needed.
- Assist with urology and urogynecologic office procedures, including cystoscopies, bladder botox, and pelvic floor injections.
- Collect urologic specimens and deliver them to the main laboratory, following aseptic and atraumatic conditions.
- Take and document patient vital signs, collect specimens, and perform point-of-care testing as ordered.
- Schedule appointments, laboratory tests, and communicate with the outpatient department to verify appointments.
- Reschedule patient appointments as needed due to equipment dysfunction or other unforeseen circumstances.
- Evaluate daily schedules to identify changes in patient appointments and reschedule as necessary.
- Operate, calibrate, and perform minor maintenance on electronic urodynamic equipment, ensuring accuracy and functionality.
- Prepare and arrange instruments, towels, solutions, and other supplies for urodynamic appointments, following infection control guidelines.
- Maintain detailed equipment assessment records and perform daily and weekly quality control checks.
- Complete and maintain detailed paperwork for all laboratory procedures, including lab statistics.
- Provide excellent customer service to patients and co-workers, explaining procedures and assisting with patient care as needed.
- LPN licensure or similar.
- 1 year of prior clinical experience.
- Detail-oriented with proficiency in identifying and organizing tasks.
- Ability to follow protocols and function well under pressure.
- Effective interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to provide compassionate care to patients.
- Ability to recognize emergency situations and respond appropriately.
- Possess manual dexterity and visual acuity.
- Knowledge of aseptic technique and standard precautions.
