Job Summary:

Nurse practitioners (NPs) at Kaiser Permanente provide high-quality, patient-centered care to children and adolescents in our ambulatory pediatrics department. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will work closely with patients, families, and other healthcare professionals to deliver comprehensive care and promote healthy outcomes.

Responsibilities include:

  • Collecting subjective and objective data through patient interviews and physical examinations
  • Developing and implementing individualized care plans to address the unique needs of each patient
  • Ordering and interpreting diagnostic tests and examinations to inform treatment decisions
  • Collaborating with other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless care transitions and optimal patient outcomes
  • Providing education and support to patients and families to promote healthy behaviors and disease prevention

Essential Qualifications:

  • Graduate of an accredited RN and NP Program or PA program
  • Minimum one year experience as an NP or PA, unless specified by department
  • Nurse Practitioner Furnishing Number (California) and National Certificate
  • Registered Nurse License (California) or Physician Assistant License (California)
  • Basic Life Support certification

Preferred Qualifications:

  • One year of experience in ambulatory pediatrics

Additional Requirements:

  • Willingness to consider Physician Assistant job code 30008
  • Current DEA Registration Number

Notes:

  • This is an 8-hour per diem position
  • Contract requires 12 shifts in a quarter
