Avient Corporation is seeking a skilled Maintenance Technician to join our team. As a key member of our maintenance team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our manufacturing plant.
Key Responsibilities- Perform routine maintenance tasks to prevent equipment downtime and ensure optimal plant performance.
- Troubleshoot and repair mechanical, electrical, and pneumatic systems, as well as hydraulic and pneumatic equipment.
- Install new or modify existing equipment, including electrical controls and instrumentation.
- Operate forklifts and other heavy equipment as needed.
- Assist in the fabrication of basic metal equipment using welding and other methods.
- Complete all assigned maintenance work to established standards in a timely and effective manner.
- High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Associate's degree or Licensed Journeyman in lieu of degree or commensurate experience preferred.
- Proven expertise in troubleshooting controls systems, electric components, pneumatic, instrumentation, and mechanical devices.
- Experience in other fields of maintenance, such as plumbing, refrigeration, carpentry, welding, and forklift repair.
- Competent PC (MS Office and Windows) computer skills desired.
The Maintenance Technician will work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment, with occasional exposure to moving mechanical parts, fumes, or airborne particles. The noise level in the work environment ranges from normal office noise levels to loud noise. Employees are required to wear mandatory PPE, including hearing protection, steel toe shoes/boots, uniforms, and specific gloves when performing specific tasks.
