About the Role

Iberia Medical Center is seeking a highly skilled Nurse Practitioner to join our team at the Jeanerette Rural Health Clinic (JRHC). As a key member of our healthcare team, you will provide high-quality primary care to patients in a fast-paced outpatient setting.

Responsibilities
  • Perform medical examinations and evaluations, diagnoses, treatment, follow-up, consultation, and health education
  • Obtain patient histories and develop patient care charts, ensuring completeness and accuracy
  • Provide health education to students, families, and/or community health practitioners and groups, within area of specialty
  • Supervise and/or coordinate the activities of patient care and/or support staff
  • May participate in planning programs and in developing specific health policies and procedures
  • Practices safety, environmental, and/or infection control methods
  • Performs miscellaneous job duties as assigned
Requirements
  • Master's level preparation from an accredited School of Nursing
  • Current license to practice as an Advanced Practice Registered Nurse (APRN) in the State of Louisiana
  • Current national certification by a national organization recognized by the Louisiana State Board of Nursing
  • CPR Certification must be up to date prior to completion or orientation and assuming the position
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience working in an outpatient, primary care setting
  • Experience in nursing management
