Job Title: Behavioral Health Technician

At Attain Behavioral Health Beachwood, we are seeking a highly motivated and compassionate Behavioral Health Technician to join our team.

Job Summary:

The Behavioral Health Technician provides direct care and support to clients with behavioral health needs, ensuring a safe and therapeutic environment during their clinical treatment day and sober living at Renewed Recovery housing.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Client Care: Assist clients with daily living activities, including personal hygiene, meal preparation, and medication management.
  • Implement and monitor individualized treatment plans developed by the clinical team.
  • Conduct therapeutic activities and facilitate group sessions as directed by the clinical supervisor.
  • Monitor and document clients' progress, behavior, and overall well-being.
  • Transportation Services: Safely transport clients to and from the facility, medical appointments, and community activities.
  • Maintain accurate records of transportation schedules and client travel logs.
  • Ensure the vehicle is clean, fueled, and well-maintained.
  • Follow all traffic laws and company policies to ensure the safety of clients during transport.
  • Crisis Intervention: Respond to crises and emergencies, providing appropriate interventions to de-escalate situations.
  • Report critical incidents to the clinical supervisor immediately and document accordingly.
  • Documentation and Communication: Maintain detailed and accurate client records, including daily logs, incident reports, and treatment progress notes.
  • Communicate effectively with clients, families, and the interdisciplinary team to ensure coordinated care.
  • Compliance and Training: Adhere to all company policies, procedures, and regulatory standards.
  • Participate in ongoing training and professional development activities.
Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or GED required; CDCA licensure preferred.
  • Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
  • Previous experience in a behavioral health setting or related field.
  • Certification in CPR and First Aid.
  • Ability to handle physical demands, including lifting and assisting clients.
Skills and Abilities:
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Ability to manage time effectively and prioritize tasks.
  • Compassionate and patient, with a genuine desire to help clients achieve their goals.
  • Ability to remain calm and effective in stressful situations.
Work Environment:
  • Work is performed in both clinical and community settings.
  • Involves exposure to challenging client behaviors.
  • Requires flexibility in working hours, including evenings, night shifts, weekends, and holidays as needed.
