FSLA Status: Non-Exempt
The main objective of this role is to enhance the company's success by delivering prompt and precise HVAC system diagnostics and repairs while ensuring a superior customer experience.
Under the guidance of the Operations Manager, the Maintenance and Repair Specialist assists clients by executing factory-authorized start-up services and in-service warranty and maintenance for HVAC systems and other represented products. This position aims to provide an exceptional customer experience through the efficient start-up and commissioning of new products, diagnosing system problems, performing necessary repairs, and ensuring equipment is maintained according to factory standards.
Key Responsibilities
This position entails the following duties:
- Addressing customer needs by investigating complaints, conducting tests, and resolving issues.
- Establishing service by analyzing system requirements, procuring components and parts, completing installations, and performing acceptance tests.
- Maintaining customer relationships by reviewing complaints, identifying solutions, proposing improved methods and techniques, and recommending system enhancements.
- Documenting service and installation activities by completing forms, reports, logs, and records.
- Enhancing job knowledge by engaging in educational opportunities and reviewing professional literature.
- Executing all other assigned duties.
Qualifications
- 3-5 years of experience in the HVAC sector.
- Acceptable driving record to access DOD and other Government facilities.
- EPA 608 certification is mandatory, signifying knowledge of laws and regulations regarding the handling of ozone-depleting substances (ODSs) such as refrigerants.
- A certificate or degree from an accredited trade school is advantageous but not essential. Experience with VRF, AAON, and MultiStack equipment is a plus, but not required.

Physical Demands/Work Environment:
The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. The individual must be capable of reviewing their work for errors and making adjustments as necessary. This position involves working indoors and outdoors in various settings, including rooftops accessed by ladders.
