Key Responsibilities
- Conducts thorough physical therapy assessments and implements treatment plans based on physician directives.
- Utilizes appropriate evaluation tools to perform comprehensive patient evaluations.
- Reviews and analyzes patient medical histories to inform treatment approaches.
- Sets measurable objectives and formulates treatment strategies aimed at maximizing patient independence and functionality.
- Regularly evaluates the effectiveness of treatment plans and adjusts goals as necessary.
- Communicates patient progress and needs to the healthcare team, including physicians and family members.
- Collaborates with medical professionals regarding patient evaluations, treatment progress, and discharge planning.
- Advises on and assists in obtaining specialized adaptive equipment to enhance patient rehabilitation.
- Maintains accurate documentation of evaluations, treatments, and billing in compliance with regulatory standards.
- Follows the company's Code of Conduct and adheres to all relevant healthcare regulations and standards.
- Oversees the work of Physical Therapist Assistants and Aides in patient care activities.
- Participates in staff development initiatives and engages in ongoing education to refine clinical skills.
- Bachelor's Degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited institution.
- Valid and unrestricted Physical Therapist license in the relevant state.
- Current certification in Basic Life Support or Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation as per state regulations.
- Preferred experience of at least one year in a physical therapy role.
- Knowledgeable in rehabilitation techniques for complex neurological conditions.
- Exhibits strong communication skills in both verbal and written formats.
- Demonstrates excellent organizational abilities and attention to detail.
- Physically capable of performing job-related tasks, including lifting, standing, and walking.
- May require a health assessment to ensure physical capability for job duties.
