The Division of Gastroenterology and Hepatology at the University of Missouri School of Medicine is actively seeking a board-certified or board-eligible Advanced Gastroenterologist dedicated to clinical excellence and eager to contribute to the education of our fellows. Compensation and Benefits
We provide a competitive compensation package, with a base salary commencing at $525K, supplemented by a productivity incentive and various hiring incentives.
About Our Division
The Gastroenterology division comprises faculty members with expertise in diverse areas such as nutrition, inflammatory bowel disease (IBD), and therapeutic endoscopy. We emphasize a multidisciplinary approach to managing a wide range of gastrointestinal disorders, collaborating with various specialties including surgery, radiology, pathology, oncology, and surgical oncology.
Essential Qualifications
- MD/DO degree
- ABIM Board Eligible/Certified in Internal Medicine
- ABIM Board Eligible/Certified in Gastroenterology
- Completion of an Advanced Endoscopy Fellowship
- Possession of, or eligibility to obtain, an unencumbered Missouri medical license
Educational Program Overview
The ACGME-accredited gastroenterology fellowship program, which hosts 11 fellows, has a distinguished history of producing exceptional gastroenterologists. Graduates from our program are now practicing in both private and academic settings nationwide. Our fellowship is structured to offer fellows extensive clinical experience across the gastroenterology spectrum, including hepatology, endoscopy, clinical nutrition, and GI oncology. A minimum of 18 months of clinical experience is mandated, which includes 5 months dedicated to hepatology, while the remaining 18 months focus on elective clinical training and research aimed at enhancing competency.
Additionally, we have expanded our offerings to include an advanced therapeutic endoscopy fellowship and are planning to broaden our clinical endoscopy services.
