The Archdiocese of Baltimore is in search of a dedicated full-time Music Educator for Monsignor Slade Catholic School, which serves students from Pre-K through 8th grade. The selected candidate will be responsible for designing and executing curriculum-aligned music lessons that cater to the diverse needs of our students.
Key Responsibilities
- Instruct students in music across all grade levels, from PreK4 to 8th grade.
- Create and implement dynamic lesson plans that meet educational standards and objectives.
- Inspire a passion for music in students through innovative and engaging teaching techniques.
- Work collaboratively with colleagues to organize school musical events, concerts, and other music-related activities.
- Evaluate student performance and provide constructive feedback to enhance their musical skills.
- Ensure a supportive and inclusive classroom atmosphere where every student feels appreciated and encouraged.
- Bachelor's degree in Education, Music Education, or a related discipline.
- Possession of a valid teaching certification or eligibility for certification within the Archdiocese of Baltimore.
- Experience in teaching music to elementary and middle school students.
- Ability to play and teach a variety of musical instruments proficiently.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Commitment to the values of Catholic education and the mission of the Archdiocese of Baltimore.
