Job Opportunity

We are seeking a highly skilled and enthusiastic Dance Instructor to join our team at the Glen Ellyn Park District. As a Dance Instructor, you will be responsible for teaching a variety of dance programs and classes to children of different ages and skill levels.

Responsibilities
  • Teach dance classes to children aged 3 and above, including ballet, jazz, hip hop, modern, and tap.
  • Develop and implement lesson plans that cater to different age groups and skill levels.
  • Evaluate student progress and provide constructive feedback to parents.
  • Assist with recital preparations, including selecting music, costumes, and choreography.
  • Attend tech rehearsals and performances.
Requirements
  • Previous experience in teaching dance to children.
  • Knowledge of multiple dance styles and techniques.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; some college coursework or certification in dance education preferred.
