Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee all ongoing projects within the department, ensuring timely execution that meets client specifications and adheres to company standards.
- Guide the preparation of project proposals and cost estimates, ensuring accurate service scoping and resource allocation for optimal profitability.
- Manage daily departmental operations, including staff training, performance evaluations, equipment utilization, safety compliance, and quality assurance.
- Engage in business development initiatives to identify and cultivate project opportunities while maintaining strong client relationships.
- Collaborate with the Division Manager on staffing strategies, recruitment, and onboarding processes.
- Assist in the formulation and execution of the annual business plan for the department, focusing on key performance metrics such as revenue growth and project profitability.
- Identify and mitigate project-related risks, ensuring familiarity with company risk management policies.
- Champion safety initiatives within the team, promoting a culture of safety and compliance with established guidelines.
- Implement continuous quality improvement practices across projects, monitoring standards and engaging in proactive quality management.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant technical field such as Engineering or Geology, accompanied by a minimum of five years of professional experience.
- A Master's degree or PhD is preferred.
- Possession of a valid driver's license with a satisfactory driving record.
- Relevant certification or licensure in the field of expertise.
