Job Summary:
Medical City Children's Hospital is seeking a certified acute care pediatric nurse practitioner or physician assistant to join our team in the pediatric cardiac intensive care unit. The ideal candidate will have a master's degree or higher in nursing and be certified in acute care pediatric nurse practitioner or physician assistant. Dual certification in primary and acute care pediatric nurse practitioner is preferred.
Responsibilities:
- Care for patients with congenital heart disease, including pre-surgical and post-surgical patients, acquired heart disease, and post-surgical adult congenital heart disease.
- Work in a high acuity, fast-paced environment with a team of experienced healthcare professionals.
- Participate in the development and implementation of patient care plans.
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure high-quality patient care.
Requirements:
- Current Texas licensure as a Registered Nurse.
- Current Texas licensure as an APRN-NP.
- Basic life support (BLS) certification.
- Pediatric advanced life support (PALS) certification.
- Preferred adult cardiac life support (ACLS) certification.
