Location: Grapevine, TX

Shift: 12-Hour Nights (7:00 PM - 7:00 AM), 3 shifts per week, 36 hours per week

Salary Range: $32 - $53 per hour (based on experience)

Job Overview:

We are seeking an experienced and compassionate Registered Nurse (RN) to join our Medical-Surgical Telemetry Unit for the night shift. The RN will provide high-quality, patient-centered care for individuals requiring telemetry monitoring. This role is crucial for managing patients with complex health conditions and ensuring continuous observation of heart rhythms in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform comprehensive patient assessments, prioritize care needs, and create individualized care plans.
  • Continuously monitor patients vital signs, especially heart rhythms, utilizing telemetry equipment.
  • Administer medications, treatments, and procedures following care protocols and physician orders.
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure optimal patient care, including physicians, healthcare staff, and family members.
  • Educate patients and families on health conditions, treatment plans, and post-discharge care to ensure better health outcomes.
  • Accurately document patient information, treatment plans, and care progress in the electronic medical record system.
  • Maintain patient safety through effective communication and by adhering to hospital safety standards.
  • Provide emotional support to patients and families, ensuring a compassionate approach to care.
  • Support quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient care and outcomes in the unit.

Qualifications:

  • Graduate of an accredited nursing program.
  • A current and valid Registered Nurse (RN) license.
  • Must have Basic Life Support (BLS) certification or obtain it within 30 days of hire.
  • Experience with telemetry and medical-surgical nursing preferred.
