Job Summary

UNM Hospitals is seeking a skilled RN Supervisor to join our team in the Operating Room.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide clinical leadership and supervision to nursing and technician staff.
  • Ensure adherence to Hospitals and departmental policies and procedures.
  • Develop and implement individualized care plans incorporating age-specific considerations.
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives and monitor patient safety.
  • Act as a liaison between physicians, staff, patients, and other departments to promote communication and problem-solving.

Requirements:

  • 2 years of direct experience in a cardiovascular OR setting.
  • RN licensure in New Mexico or reciprocal agreement.
  • CPR for Healthcare/BLS certification.
  • Nationally certified in area of specialty (optional).

Working Conditions:

  • Heavy work environment with exposure to chemicals and biohazardous materials.
  • Subject to annual contract and performance appraisal.
